How to Style a Kimono for Spring

I'm partnering with one of my favorite online boutiques today Southern Roots TX to show you to style a kimono for Spring. Y'all know I have a serious obsession when it comes to kimonos! I'm pretty sure I've posted at least four on Instagram in the last month. I just can't quit this trend, it's by far my go-to piece for the warmer months and here are few reasons why.

Minimal effort -  As a style blogger I'm constantly thinking of how to put the perfect look together, should I wear this top with these jeans, pink flats or nude heels, ect. It's so nice to have an item in your closet you know you can grab and no matter what you pair with it you're sure to look and feel cute!

Comfort - While Spring is the time to break out your sundresses and short skirts more often than not it requires some sort of layering piece. Ditch those structured jackets and itchy cardigans for a flowy kimono that allows you to move and breathe.

Countless Styling Options - Like I mentioned before you literally cannot got wrong with styling. Trying layering it over a romper or sundress, cutoffs and a tee, pair with wedges, gladiators, or booties. You can achieve so many different looks all with one amazing piece!

I chose this particular kimono from Southern Roots for it's fun print and pom accents. By pairing it with a fresh white on white combo, I'm letting it do all the talking. 😉 I definitely plan on wearing it to the beach as a coverup too! Be sure to check out all of Southern Roots TX new arrivals! They just got in some seriously cute items like this dress and this top! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Red Floral Maxi Dress

Today I'm sharing this gorgeous maxi I wore on Easter Sunday. I totally meant to post this Monday but hubby and I took a little trip down the coast to the OBX. The weather was Amazing!! Even though I live seaside, I haven't had a "official" beach day yet this season. So I took full advantage, unplugged and got my sundaze on! Isn't it funny how doing things you typically do are so much more fun when your out of town? Any who back to this amazing dress from SheIn. This is the perfect dress for Spring/Summer but even more so for vacationing. It's lightweight, breezy and very comfy. You'll look like a million bucks wearing it but with little to no effort, literally just throw on and your out the door. With the idea of traveling in mind I completed the look with a tote for all the necessities, an oversize sunhat & a pair of comfy wedges. This dress also buttons all the way down the front so you can adjust how high you prefer the slit. Normally a piece like this would run you anywhere from $100-$150. How would you feel if I told you this beauty is under $35? Oh yes girl, a total must add to your Summer collection!

Also wanted to let you know I'm hosting a fun giveaway with Charming Charlie over on my Instagram account @whatcourtwore. Be sure to check it out and submit your entry before 4/23! Have a great one y'all!

Pretty Peach Pleats

Happy Good Friday friends!! I've got a pretty little outfit today that can be worn to so many different events. This peach pleated dress is from Chicwish. As you know by now, one of my favorite sites for girly and trendy pieces! If you love ruffles, bell sleeves, anything with bows then this is definitely the retailer for you! I had been searching for what seems like months for a flirty little dress like this. I wanted it to be neutral in color so that I could not only easily transition it throughout the seasons but also have many options when it comes to styling. Mixing feminine and edgy pieces is a combination that I LOVE! Try layering a leather motto over your cocktail dresses for a super chic pairing. Don't get me wrong though, this dress is gorgeous all on it's own! For any of you brides to be it's perfect for showers or a rehearsal dinner. It does run tts but I would suggest a slip or nude undergarments because it's a little sheer especially in certain light.

Wishing we could travel home to be with family this Easter but still happy to spend the holiday we my favorite fellow and cook a yummy meal to have after church. What are your plans or traditions that you love each Easter? I'd love to hear!  I hope y'all have a blessed weekend!

Feeling the Monday blues something awful today! Hubby and I had such a fun and relaxing weekend together, it's so hard to get back into the swing of it. Instagram Roundup

Happy Friday guys!! Lately I've started sharing more of my day to day looks on Instagram and y'all seem to respond really well to them. So going forward I plan to post even more daily outfits and then do a roundup similar to this in case you miss a post, want easier direct shopping links (other than liketoknow.it), sizing info, ect.

First up is this pretty floral print dress I wore a few weekends ago. I'm loving the halter neckline and cold shoulder ruffle detail. So many cute trends in one dress! It's been marked down 60% off making it less than $20! I'm wearing a size small and it runs TTS. This perforated bag is also a new purchase. You can wear the strap doubled as shown or as a shoulder or crossbody bag. It comes in four colors total and is under $70. This outfit is a cute option for Easter too if you are still looking.

I was so excited to score these dupes for the Valentino Rockstuds and Steve Madden sandals! Aren't they just so cute?? You can get both pairs for less than $80 too!

It was in the 80's for our date night this week, the perfect excuse to wear cutoffs. I love dressing up denim shorts with a kimono and heels. This floral printed one is under $30 and has the cutest little tassel ties on both sides. I sized up to a M/L for a longer looser fit. Paired with my new favorite statement necklace (comes in five Spring perfect colors and is very lightweight) and twist front tee. If your looking for a good layering tee than look no further. This fun twist, no pun intended ;) on a basic is only $22!

This off the shoulder top is another steal at just under $40! It does run on the large size though. I'm wearing a small and would have probably preferred an x-small for a little more fitted look. I paired with a denim mini and this beauty of a bag!! This is from Rebecca Minkoff's new Spring line. I've seriously dreamed of finding a white bag like this! Perfect for everyday but the studs and grommeted strap give it that little added edge.

I recently partnered with DIFF Eyewear. Not only do they offer affordable designer sunnies but for each pair of sunglasses sold they donate a pair of reading glasses to someone in need! What's better than that?! You can look super cute while helping a great cause. Plus use code COURT25 for 25% off your purchase. I wearing the ROSE shades in pink mirror lens.

Target has seriously been killing it lately! While I always leave with things I never intended to shop for in the first place, lately it's been harder and harder not to turn a milk and mascara run into a $150 trip! They are really stepping up their game and I'm not mad about it!  I recently bought both of these rugs for my sunroom. I'm pineapple obsessed so this $9 mat was a no brainier.

Finally is this adorable embroidered dress from THML clothing. Embroidery is all the rage right now and while I couldn't find this exact dress online for you guys, this brand has tons of great options! This hat, bag and shoe combo will be on major repeat this season. If you've been contemplating these wedges than you better hurry. They are currently 25% off (that's $40 off) and since they are everyone's favorite they are sure to sell out quick!!

Embroidered Options From THML here & here & here & here & here // Brixton Straw Hat //

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! It's suppose to be beautiful here and hubby promised to take me to the nursery to buy flowers! You know your getting old when you think a fun weekend involves yard work! Haha
