Star Prints & Fray Hems

Star Print Blouse // BaubleBar Earrings // Similar Faux Leather Jacket here // Ray-ban Aviators //
Fray Hem Jeans (limited sizes) - Also available in Black Fray Hem (limited sizes) Similar Style here //

Hurray for Friday! Anyone else super excited for the weekend? Sharing a combination of three of my favorite trends in today's look that would make a great little weekend getup. Star prints, fray hem jeans and velvet. All I have to say is polka dots you've met your match. Star graphics are a fun new twist on this classic pattern and there is no shortage of styles for you to choose from. I instantly fell in love with this particular blouse for it's neck-tie and draped ruffled sleeves. It's also currently on major sale! Talking under $50! Since there are so many cute items out right now, I put together a few of my favorites for you to shop from below.

I've been on the hunt for the perfect fray hem denim for a while now. Never one to spend a lot on trendy pieces and especially because hubby really dislikes this style (he calls them my Clydesdale jeans haha) I was so excited to find this inexpensive pair! They are made of a stretchy material and run a little large so I would suggest sizing down at least one size. Now on to these amazing Steve Madden sandals! Blush, velvet and a metallic heel, seriously could they be anymore perfect?! Planning on wearing them again soon for Valentine's with my tulle skirt, that look coming soon ;)

Just a reminder code WHATCOURTWORE gets you a free month membership at Endless designer sunglasses (like the Ray-ban aviators in this post) that you can keep or switch as often as you like! Free shipping both ways and insurance on your frames!

Have a great weekend babes!

Blush Ruffle Sleeve Sweater

Ruffle Sleeve Sweater // BaubleBar Earrings // Similar Faux Fur Vest here //
Stone Embellished Shoulder Bag // Burgundy Skirt- Similar Suede Option here & Velvet Option here // Similar Over the Knee Boots here

Happy Friday babes!! With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I have several feminine, holiday color themed looks planned for the blog over the next few weeks. Outfit ideas for a fancy night out on the town or a casual movie date and everything in between. Today's look features this adorable Ruffle Sleeve Sweater from SheIn. I'm loving this fun trend and even more so this top because it's only $25! It comes in five color options total including red! I've mentioned this retailer before but for those of you who are unfamiliar it's a great website to score affordable on trend styles. This burgundy and blush combo really appealed to me but you could also try dressing up a pair of jeans with this sweater and some cute pumps. If you do go the mini skirt route, I suggest over the knee boots. Regardless of your height, I feel they give the allusion of long legs and make wearing short skirts bearable in winter temps.

Hubby and I are wanting to try doing something new this year for Valentine's. Any fun ideas outside of the usual dinner and a movie? Love to hear your suggestions in the comments below. :)

Thanks to SheIn for sponsoring today's post!

Valentine's Day Outfit & Gift Ideas

My favorite holiday is only a month away! I'm so excited! I spent the weekend shopping for a girly Valentine's inspired outfit so I thought I'd share a quick post of my finds with y'all, as well as some inexpensive gifts ideas for your mom, sister or bestie (or for yourself, I'm not judging ;) haha). Click on images below to be directed to product page.

Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas

While red is predominately the color of choice for Valentines, I've been crushing hard on blush and pinks lately! I really love this color paired with neutrals and whites in the winter. Style this sequin crop top with distressed white skinnys and pink pumps for a more causal date night look or with a tulle skirt for an ultra feminine ensemble. I'm torn between that option or the Free People floral dress on the top left. I'm thinking wearing a fuzzy cardigan like this and thigh high boots like these with it. Which do you prefer? Oh and can we talk about these gorgeous bags?! The Tory Burch crossbody is calling my name! Not only would it be perfect for the holiday but also the upcoming spring season.

  Valentine's Day Gift Ideas

All of these gift options are under $75 and most under $50. Great alternatives to the traditional V-Day gifts but still love day inspired. I hope you guys have a great week! If you follow me on Insta you might have seen me snap a pic of this ruffle sleeve sweater (another great Valentine's option). It will be on the blog Friday so be sure to check back to see how I style it!

The Perfect Waterfall Vest

Draped Collar Vest // Basic White Tee (40% off but limited sizes) - Similar Style here // Kendra Scott Drusy Earrings // Kendra Scott Drusy Ring // Necklace and Handchain From Rocksbox (whatcourtworexoxo gets you a free month!) // Similar Distressed Boyfriend Jeans here // Chloe Drew Bag & More Affordable Option here // Bandana - Similar Print // Similar Leopard Lace Up Flats here

Happy Friday y'all!! After several snow filled, twenty degree days we had a warm front move in! It reached the 70's yesterday so hubby and I decided to go for a stroll along the harbor. I threw on this waterfall vest I recently got from Ivy & Leo over my favorite basic tee and boyfriend jeans. I really love pieces like this that require minimal effort but still look still look so chic! It makes it so much easier when your limited on time or your husband is tired of waiting on you after trying on ten different looks (haha mine all the time). You could style this vest so many different ways too. I'm already planning on layering it over a printed dress with over the knee boots. So cute, right and at under $30 you are getting such a bargain!

Rosy Cheeks, Chunky Knits & Pastel Snow Days

Chunky Oversize Pom Beanie // Plush Plaid Scarf // Faux Fur Pom Mittens- Forever 21 last season Similar Fur Trimmed Gloves here // Boyfriend Cable Knit Sweater // White Skinny Jeans // Sorel Snow Boots

It's a rare occurrence for us to receive snow here on the coast, so to say we were excited to wake up to a winter wonderland this weekend is an understatement! Hubby and I bundled up and went for a stroll around the lake, had a snowball fight and then warmed up with a hot cup of cocoa. Of course I had to get him to snap a few picks along the way ;)  I've been on such a blush kick lately and instantly fell in love with this super soft scarf! I purchased it at Nordstrom for around $40 but found it here on sale for under $25. Soft hues like light grey, cream, whites and pastel blues pair so well with this pretty color and are such a nice alternative to your typical darker winter clothes.

By now it's no secret that I'm obsessed with pom beanies but seriously y'all how adorable is this one! Probably my favorite I own so far and that's saying a lot from my ever growing collection. I just adore the oversize pom and extra chunky knit and it's only $18. I've been itching to really test out these Sorel boots since receiving them for my birthday in November. After a full day in the snow and 20 degree weather my feet stayed super toasty. I am beyond impressed and already plan on purchasing another style soon. A couple of my favorites are here and here

Hope you guys have a great day! I'm going to try and enjoy this pretty powder one more day before we are back in the 70s on Thursday.

Pattern Play With American Eagle

AEO Stripe Off the Shoulder Top // Similar Silk Neckerchief here & here //
Rebecca Minkoff Ear Crawlers (Use code: whatcourtworexoxo for a FREE month of Rocksbox) //

Mixing prints, patterns and fabrics has always been a favorite of mine but lately I've had a few questions on how to pull this trend off. First and foremost treat stripes as a neutral! I swear by this! It's nearly impossible to go wrong when using stripes as your dominate print. They pair well with polka dot, floral, plaid, leopard, check, ect. Keeping in mind the second print or pattern you choose is just to accent, it's usually best to go with something smaller in size. For example this AEO stripe sweater is my prominent piece (currently 50% off and comes in 3 colors) so I went with this geometric print neckerchief. It also helps to keep your fabrics in the same color family. While I didn't follow this guideline above, I did pick a scarf with similar colors to that of the embroidery in my skirt, which ties the whole look together. Remember these are suggestions to get you started, just have fun with it! I've tried combinations that I would never really have imagined working together and they do.

Hows the start of your 2017 going? I made New Years resolutions/goals for every aspect of my life this year.
Faith, Marriage, Blog, Fitness. There is something so exciting about getting the chance to wipe the slate clean and have a fresh new start! The prospect that this year could be the best one yet, don't you agree?
