Home for the Holidays

Hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! After lots of turkey and Black Friday sales shopping, I've been getting into the Christmas spirit by decorating our home for the holidays. I'm not completely finished but I wanted to go ahead and share a peek at our living room space with you.

The overall theme in our home is rustic, modern farmhouse so I wanted to keep with that motif while adding touches of winter coziness. Since farmhouse style is made up of mostly neutrals, I thought it would be the perfect time to try my hand at flocking. This is the first time I've ever flocked a real tree and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! It's really rather simple to do and the result is just gorgeous! The product I used (linked below) gives that "real" snow covered look and you're easily able to control the density and effect. I purchased the 5lb box which was plenty to do our 9ft tree and garlands with some left over.

To tie everything together I used natural elements throughout. Example, these birch wood branches and candle holders. I stumbled upon these while browsing Etsy. They're made from real white birch trees and are pretty affordable compared to most faux wood pieces you find.

I'm excited because not only was I able to link almost everything pictured but practically every single item is on sale right now too! Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the piece you'd like to shop and you'll be directed to that product page. If there are any items not linked below that you're interested in, shoot me an email or let me know in the comments and I'll be happy to share where I found them! Also be sure to head back over bright and early tomorrow morning as I'll have a full list of the best Cyber Monday sales for you!
